Heaven and Hell

In a land so dark so desolate
Nothing survives nothing lives
Everything is lost in the smoke
That hangs over the land
Like a cloud in a sky
Frost covers the ground
Like a thin sheet of glass
Or saran wrap
Saving what’s left of the once beautiful land
For a day when the graces of the sun
Will once again trace over the land
Hate
Fear
Stress
Death
Lurk in every corner of what’s left of the land
Waiting to devour any soul that tries to enter
Never allowing it to leave
Consumed in the smoke
It will never be able to escape
To the beautiful land it once survived in
That is just outside the edges of the barren land

The sun’s rays reach over the horizon
Stretching across the snow
That is shimmering like diamonds
Even in the cold
Everything survives
The diamond snow looks like clouds on the ground
Shining like diamonds but as soft as feathers
Waiting to engulf a carefree soul
Hope
Joy
Love
Peace
Linger under the green of the trees
The sun guiding the way
In a world where nothing matters
Where everything is how it should beHow it was all meant to be
